Vehicle related factors

• Vehicle type, for instance: motorcycle, truck or car
• The condition of the vehicle
• The make, model and manufacturing year of the car, motorcycle or truck
• Purpose of the vehicle you are purchasing. If you plan to use the vehicle for business purposes, the risk gets higher for the insurers. You will thus also have to pay a higher premium.

Driver related factors

• The age of the driver influences the premium. If you are under 25, you are considered a risk. If you are younger than 20 years of age, you are seen as high risk. This means that you will have to pay a higher monthly installment.
• Year that the driver’s license was issued. People who received their driver’s licenses more than five years ago, have more driving experience than people who only received their licenses three years ago. The longer you have your license, the lower your premiums will be.

• Nominated drivers of your car are also subject to the same rules when the rates are determined by Redisure. Make sure that you nominate responsible drivers with clean records as accidents caused by them can result in losing your No-Claims Bonus.

Security related factors

• Place where your car, motorcycle or truck is parked most of the time during the day. Street parking in urban areas pose a considerable risk for theft and damage to your vehicle. If you park your vehicle in a secure area during the day, you will qualify for better rates at Redisure.
• Parking of the vehicle in a lockup garage and a closed area during the evenings lowers the risk of theft and damage and thus results in lower rates at Redisure.
• The installment of VESA approved anti-theft devices such as gear locks, immobilizers, tracking systems and alarms in your car will be rewarded with lower premiums by Redisure.

• It excludes damage and loss to the insured person’s vehicle.

Third Party, Fire and Theft Cover includes:

• Protection against liability to Third Parties; including their property.
• Cover against loss or damage to the insured person’s vehicle caused by fire or theft.
