I want to
insure with Redisure
Insuring your car with Redisure is very easy. Simply give us a call,
or complete the online questionnaire. We will then give you a quote,
which will give you an idea as to what your premium might be.
Once you've decided to insure with us (and we know you will), let us
know, and we will send you a Proposal (or download one). You need to
complete the Proposal, and fax it to us.
Please attach:
- A copy of your Vehicle Inspection. This can be obtained through Glasfit free of charge (just give them a copy of your quote, or your
Quote Number)
- If you already have a Tracking Device in the vehicle, include a
copy of your Certificate. If not, we can make the necessary
arrangements for you.
Once we've received all your documentation, and your policy has been
incepted, we will fax you a copy of your Schedule of Insurance.
You will receive the original in the post shortly thereafter.
What is covered by Redisure?
There are three options available when insuring your car, and these
options determine what is covered by the policy.
Comprehensive Cover
This option is the most extensive of the three options. The
following is covered:
- Loss or damage to the vehicle
- Medical expenses as a result of the incident
- Repair or replacement of the window glass
- Replacement of locks and keys
- Hotel expenses incurred as a result of the incident
- Liability for unauthorized passengers
- Credit shortfall if the vehicle is still financed
- Liability to Third Parties and their property
You can also opt to cover the sound equipment in your car under
Comprehensive Cover.
Third Party Only
This option only covers your liability to Third Parties and their
property. It will not cover any loss or damage to your car.
Third Party, Fire and Theft
This option covers your liability to Third Parties and their
property. It will also cover loss or damage to your vehicle from
fire, or theft.
What isn't covered?
Like any insurance policy, there are certain circumstances under
which Redisure will not indemnify you. In brief, the policy is not
going to cover:
- Loss or damage cause by riots, strikes and civil commotion.
- Any loss or damage covered by SASRIA (South African Special Risks
Insurance Association) such as military action or the like.
- Any nuclear related loss or damage.
